All of the animals except for man know that the principle business of life is to enjoy it. — Samuel Butler
The Ferret Association of Connecticut generally holds three to four major events each year:
- Annual Board Meeting and Open House – Usually held in mid to late January. Three additional board meetings are held – one in June and the other 2 during the course of the year. Additional meetings are held on an as-needed basis. Board meetings, unless otherwise stated, are open to the members and the public.
- FACT-Ferret Treasures Store Sales are usually held in Spring and just after Thanksgiving.
- Frolic and/or Picnic – as determined by the Board of Directors at the Annual Board meeting in January and June.
- Education Events – held at various pet stores. FACT also participates at area events, whenever possible, such as the New England Federation of Humane Societies Conference, Petfinder Adoption Option events, area adoption events and other venues designed to promote animal welfare and provide public education about proper ferret care. In addition, the Ferret Association also participates in select adoption events at area pet stores and community centers.
