Mira Thanks You For Caring!

Ferret Care Grants

Mira Health Care Fund

Following Mira’s passing, FACT’s Board of Director’s established the memorial Mira Health Care Fund. It provides for extraordinary medical care for animals facing unique situations like Mira anywhere in the United States. It is our goal to help advance the successful treatment of ferret injuries or diseases.

The fund is held separately from other Ferret Association of Connecticut assets and donations made to the fund are restricted solely for use by the Mira Health Care Fund.

Contributions to this fund allow us to offer help to ferrets challenged by unique or unusual health conditions.

All donations to the fund are gratefully acknowledged and may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

To apply for a grant, please complete the pdf Application that follows.

Ferret Emergency-Disaster Fund

Hurricane Katrina in 2005 was a devastating event for people and animals along the Gulf Coast of the United States. The Ferret Association of Connecticut along with a volunteers from the Ferret Mailing List maintained a small database dedicated to trying to connect reports of lost and found ferrets. one ferret WAS reunited with its owner!

Following that disaster, FACT established a separate Ferret Disaster Relief Fund to help ferret shelters who are victims of natural or man-made disasters. We have loosely applied the definition of disaster at times to reflect unusual situations and circumstances involving. All, of course, subject to the amount available in a small, disaster relief fund that FACT maintains as a separate “restricted” fund.

The fund is held separately from other Ferret Association of Connecticut assets and donations made to the fund are restricted solely for use by the Ferret Emergency-Disaster Fund.

Contributions to this fund allow us to offer help to those who need it when disaster strikes or in the event of emergency.

All donations to the fund are gratefully acknowledged and may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

To apply for a grant, please complete an Application and give us as much information about the situation as possible.
