Ferret Association of Connecticut Table Banner

I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good therefore that I can do, or any kindness or abilities that I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now. Let me not defer it or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again. – William Penn

Ways to Help Ferrets

The Ferret Association of Connecticut offers many ways to become involved and help ferrets. Whether you are in the Hartford area or located halfway around the world, you can take part in any number of our programs.  And while cash donations are always welcome and appreciated, there are other, less direct ways to give support. There are ways to help FACT while shopping online, and even while just browsing the web!

Donate

There are many ways to make donations – cash, check, money order, credit card. In-Kind. Legacy Bequests. Through Matching Gifts programs, United Way Appeals. Even through your online sales. We summarize these and more in this section.

Membership

FACT encourages supporters to become a member of our organization. Our members come from all over the world. All that’s required is a love of ferrets and desire to help them.
Membership includes a welcome kit with a copy of our ferret information material and bi-monthly newsletter. Family membership is $25 annually.

Volunteer

Volunteering can take many forms: In-person by spending time at the shelter or by virtual volunteering.

Foster Program

A special form of volunteering is becoming a member of our Foster Parent Program. Under it, you care for one of FACT’s special needs or elderly ferrets in your home, permanently. The program is available to people local to the FACT shelter.

Shop & Search

Do you shop? Do you browse the internet? Well, you are now, aren’t you? Well, this one’s just for you. And it doesn’t cost you anything.
