Ferret Asleep At Show - Ferret Association of Connecticut

All of the animals except for man know that the principle business of life is to enjoy it. — Samuel Butler

Events

People love to get together at events with other ferret owners when possible.  The Ferret Association of Connecticut generally sponsors three to four forums each year. We also take part in other venues as time and resources allow.

Each year we sponsor or attend the following:

  • Annual Board Meeting and Open House – This event is usually held in mid to late January. Three more board meetings are held – one in June and the other 2 during the course of the year. Additional meetings are held on an as-needed basis. Board meetings, unless otherwise stated, are open to the members and the public.
  • FACT-Ferret Treasures Store Sales are usually held in Spring and just after Thanksgiving.
  • Frolic and/or Picnic – as determined by the Board of Directors at the Annual Board meeting in January and June.
  • Education Programs – held at various pet stores. FACT also participates at area events, when possible, such as the New England Federation of Humane Societies Conference, Petfinder Adoption Option events, area adoption events and other venues designed to promote animal welfare and offer public education about proper ferret care. In addition, the Ferret Association also participates in select adoption forums at area pet stores and community centers.

We will post dates on the front page when determined.
