The Ferret Association has a very active Facebook presence. Primarily we post information about adoptees, foster ferrets, shelter events as well as our press releases. Photos are shared for all our followers to enjoy. We also share information on a variety of special interest topics that affect or are related to ferrets or their kin around the world.

In addition, we maintain a Fundraising page – Ferret Assn of CT Fundraisers – where we run periodic auctions to support the shelter or other worthy causes such as the Xavier Ferret Canine Distemper Fund, the Ferret Shelters Directory, or other ferret organizations around the world.

Not as advertised....Honestly when I watch weasels gracefully hunt and hop around, I cannot believe for a second that my two goofs share genes with them. I would bet 50$ that they wouldn't survive in the wild... unless they find themselves another human slave XDAlso have you seen the news about black footed ferret being cloned?! How cool is that?!..#ferrets #ferretsofinstagram #comic #comicstrip #blackfootedferret ... See MoreSee Less

Hi everyone! Wanted to give you a quick update on available ferrets for adoption – at this time, the shelter has NO adoptable ferrets, due in part to the shortage of ferrets in CT over the last year, and in part thanks to more people working from home and being able to keep their pets, adopt new ones, etc. This is great! We do still have fosters and other special needs ferrets under our care.On a sadder note, eviction moratoriums may end as government rules adjust, so we aren't sure what will happen when that occurs as the pandemic progresses. The shelter does have a backlog of applications waiting for the time when we have more adoptable ferrets, but if you're still waiting and interested, it might be a short while before we have a steady stream of adoptable ferrets again. We'll keep you posted! Thanks as always for your support. ❤️ 🐾 ... See MoreSee Less
