The Ferret Association has a very active Facebook presence. Primarily we post information about adoptees, foster ferrets, shelter events as well as our press releases. Photos are shared for all our followers to enjoy. We also share information on a variety of special interest topics that affect or are related to ferrets or their kin around the world.
In addition, we maintain a Fundraising page – Ferret Assn of CT Fundraisers – where we run periodic auctions to support the shelter or other worthy causes such as the Xavier Ferret Canine Distemper Fund, the Ferret Shelters Directory, or other ferret organizations around the world.

Calling all fosters! We have two lovely ladies and a cute little boy looking for very special homes. If you've been thinking of opening your home to an older, calmer ferret (or bunch), now's your chance.
Introducing Rosalita, Joey, and Miriam! I met them recently and all are very sweet, and seem to get along with others. Rosalita is a very active girl who has some hind-leg issues (which don't stop her from climbing around *at all*; may improve with regular exercise). Miriam also has some hind-leg issues which make her a little more messy than the average ferret, but she'd love to cuddle up with you after she eats her soup. And Joey is a sweet little guy who also likes to cuddle.
Interested? These cute little faces won't stay long - ask us about fostering today. https://ferretassn.org/shelter/foster-program-details/ ... See MoreSee Less
Was sent this awesome meme made from one of the videos of my two cat snakes by @CaralinaSofie on Instagram. Feefoo’s expression in the second one is too relatable rn. 🤣 #ferret #meme ... See MoreSee Less
Much sympathy to Musky's entire family for the loss of a member.Hi everybody! It's me, Penny The Rat 🐀! Musky asked me to handle all of her Social Media for the day as she and her family bid farewell to Bat Dog 🐕. I never met Bat Dog, but I learned all about him in my conversations with Musky. I would like to share one of them; the story about how Bat came to be part of Musky's Family.
In January of 2014, long before Musky or I were even born, Musky's Daddy went on a transport to South Carolina to pick up dogs in need of a new "leash on life" and bring them back to the Monmouth County SPCA. As he was loading these 30 lucky pups into the transport van, a dog started crying and barking behind him. Musky's Daddy turned around and that is when he met Bat Dog! He asked if Bat Dog could come on the transport too, but there wasn't any more room in the van. And so, the van left without Bat Dog...
On the long drive back to New Jersey, all Musky's Daddy could think about was the dog he left behind. When he got home 🏡, Musky's Mommy asked "How was the trip?", to which Musky's Daddy replied "I'm going back tomorrow!" In the morning, Musky's Daddy got on a plane, rented a car, went to the shelter, and drove back to New Jersey with Bat Dog to his new furever home 🏡! The rest, as they say, is history!
All of us here at "My Name is Musky! A Ferret's Story" believe that commitment is doing something long after the thrill of having said it is gone. Bat's passing was tragic, but through a Little Bit of Luck and a whole Lotta Love, he was able to live the very best life possible. We wouldn't have wanted it any other way...
I hope you enjoyed my retelling of Bat Dog's story. In honor and memory of Bat, Musky has decided to have a sale starting today and lasting until Labor Day. Use the code BATDOG and get 15% off EVERYTHING on her website. It was great to speak with all of you today and I look forward to filling in for Musky again soon. Have a great Labor Day Weekend!
